Custom home construction
Two years of decisions,
one accountable party.
A custom home is roughly two years of decisions with a house at the end. What separates the good outcomes from the painful ones is rarely craftsmanship in isolation — it is whether one party is accountable for the whole of it.
Pre-construction is where money is saved
The cheapest time to change anything is while it is still a drawing. We work alongside your architect during design rather than receiving a finished set and pricing it: constructability, long-lead items, structural implications of the plan you actually want, and where the budget is quietly concentrated.
You get a schedule of values before construction, not a lump sum with no visible interior. If a number moves later, you can see which line moved and why.
One contract and one schedule
NeXGen is the licensed general contractor. We hold the contract, hold the schedule, and coordinate the licensed trade partners who perform the work — framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, finishes. You have one number to call and one party answerable for the result.
The alternative — a homeowner managing a dozen separate contracts — is how projects end up with nobody responsible for the gap between two trades.
Permits, inspections and the paperwork nobody enjoys
Which authority reviews your plans depends on where the lot is: City of Las Vegas, City of Henderson, or unincorporated Clark County. Each has its own submittal expectations and its own plan-check reality, and a community architectural review may sit on top.
We handle submittal, respond to plan-check comments, and sequence inspections so the job is not waiting on a signature it could have had two weeks earlier.
Closeout that actually closes
The final ten percent is where reputations are made. Punch list worked to completion rather than to exhaustion, warranties and manuals collected, as-builts handed over, and a certificate of occupancy in your hand.
Three active Nevada licences — B-2 General Building, C-17 Lath and Plaster, C-3 Carpentry — all verifiable through the Nevada State Contractors Board.
