One party accountable

Most of what goes wrong on a residential project happens between trades, where the framer’s work meets the plumber’s and nobody agreed who owned the transition.

NeXGen is the licensed general contractor. We hold the contract and the schedule and coordinate the licensed trade partners doing the work. When something falls between two scopes it is still ours. You should never have to arbitrate between your own subcontractors.

Say the expensive thing first

Every NeXGen project has a moment where the honest answer is unwelcome. The ground is harder than hoped. The wall is carrying load. The schedule cannot absorb another change.

We would rather lose the job at the consultation than deliver that news in month seven. A budget range given early and held is worth more to you than a low number that gets walked back.

Quality lives at the junctions

Anyone can make the middle of a wall look good. The craft shows where materials meet: new plaster against old, casing against original trim, an opening cut into something that has stood for thirty years.

Those junctions are why the plaster and carpentry licenses sit alongside NeXGen’s general building license instead of being handed off unexamined.
